O God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee. My soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee, in a dry and thirsty land where no water is,

Gott, du bist mein Gott; frühe wache ich zu dir. Es dürstet meine Seele nach dir; mein Fleisch verlangt nach dir in einem trockenen und dürren Land, wo kein Wasser ist.
